MIAA Lacrosse Playoff Brackets revealed
Spalding and McDonogh earn the top two seeds in the A Conference
The 2025 MIAA lacrosse playoffs get underway this week with the A, B and C Conference quarterfinals on Friday afternoon.
In the opening A Conferencce games, No. 5 seed Loyola Blakefield visits No. 4 seed Boys' Latin and No. 6 seed St. Paul's plays at No. 3 Calvert Hall. Top-seeded Archbishop Spalding received a first round bye, as did second-seeded and three-time defending champion McDonogh and both have advanced to Tuesday's semifinal double-header at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. Spalding will face the Loyola-BL winner at 5 pm and McDonogh will take on the Calvert Hall-St. Paul's winner at 7:30 p.m.
The A Conference final will take place on Friday, May 16 at Towson University, at 7:30 p.m.
In the B Conference, Friday's quarterfinal match-ups will see No. 5 St. John's Catholic Prep travel to No. 4 Gerstell Academy, and No. 3 Concordia Prep host No. 4 St. Vincent Pallotti.
Three-time defending champion Archbishop Curley is the No. 1 seed and the Friars will host the SJCP/Gerstell winner in the semifinals on May 13, while second-seeded Saints Peter & Paul will host the Concordia Prep/Pallotti winner.
The final seeds in the C Conference are not yet complete, but Glenelg Country is the No. 1 seed and Annapolis Area Chrisitan is seeded No. 2. Both teams will have opening round byes and host semifinal games next Tuesday. Key School is set as the third seed and will host a quarterfinal playoff game on Friday, while seeds three thru six are still to be determined.
