Four champs crowned at MIAA Individual Squash Championships
McDonogh's Rockefeller wins Division 1 bracket; Loyola earns two titles and St. Paul's one
Ahead of next month's MIAA squash team championships, the individual tournament took place Jan. 20-22 at St. Paul's School, as four individual champions were crowned in the league's various divisions.
In the tournament's top division, Division 1, McDonogh star John Rockefeller added to sensational season with a win over Gilman's Daniel Sun.
The Division 2 title came down to an all-St. Paul's final, as Crusader Ashton Seeman topped teammate Tyler Hyle.
Loyola Blakefield captured the individual crowns in both Divisions 3 and 4. In Division 3, the Don's Lucas Hobson topped Haydnn of Friends School and, in Division 4, Loyola's John Linkus outlasted Boys' Latin's Justin Brown in a five set thriller.
In all, 32 players competed in the event and every squash playing school in the MIAA was represented.
