MIAA A & B Conference Basketball Championship Games Postponed til Tuesday; C on as scheduled
Decision was made due to winter weather warnings
The MIAA has announced the postponement of Sunday's basketball championship games in the A and B Conferences. The C Conference game will be played as original scheduled, at 1:00 p.m. at UMBC's CEI Arena.
With regard to the games, the MIAA released the following statement:
"Due to the forecasted winter weather expected in our area later today, we have made the decision to postpone the "A" & "B" Basketball Championship games. (The "C" game will still be played at 1pm!).
While we were hopeful conditions would allow us to proceed as planned, the safety of our participants, staff, and spectators remains our top priority. We will communicate the rescheduled date and any additional updates as soon as they are confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
Both contests have been resecheduled for Tuesday, again at CEI Arena.
The B Conference final, which will feature Severn vs. St. Paul's, will tip-off at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by the A Conference final between Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Frances, with scheduled game time of 7:00 p.m.
