MIAA Basketball Playoff Brackets Announced
Quarterfinal action is set to get underway in the A and B Conferences on Tuesday; C Conference semifinals are on Thursday
The seeds are set and the 2025 MIAA basketball postseason is set to tip-off with the A & B Conferences, beginning with quarterfinal action on Tuesday and the C Conference taking the floor for semifinal action on Thursday.
All roads lead to Championship Saturday on Feb. 22 at UMBC’s CEI Arena.
The top seeds in the A Conference were secured by Glenelg Country (Black Division) and Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Red Division). GCS will host McDonogh (Red #4) and Mount Carmel will host John Carroll (Black #4) in the quarterfinals. In the other two quarterfinal match-ups, St. Frances (Red #2) will host Mount St. Joseph (Black #3) and Archbishop Spalding (Black #2) will host Loyola Blakefield (Red #3).
The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday at the home court of the higher seed and the A Conference final will be Saturday at 6 p.m. Here is the complete bracket.
The B Conference field includes six teams with top-seeds St. Paul’s (Red) and Severn (Black) earning first round byes. Tuesday’s quarterfinals will feature St. Mary’s (Black #3) at Gerstell (Red #2) and Concordia Prep (Red #3) at Annapolis Area Christian (Black #2).
Once again, the semifinals are set for Thursday, with St. Paul’s hosting the Concordia Prep/AACS winner and the St. Mary’s/Gerstell winner traveling to Severn. The B Conference final will be the first game of Championship Saturday at 4 p.m. Here is the complete bracket.
The C Conference field consists of four teams, as #4 Beth Tfiloh will visit #1 Saints Peter & Paul in one semifinal game and #2 Key will host #3 Cristo Rey in the other. Saturday’s C Conference title game at UMBC will top-off at 8 p.m. Here is the bracket.
