The Severn Admirals turned a completely dominate performance, Wednesday evening, at the MIAA B Conference Swimming Championships, held at McDonogh School, to claim their second consecutive crown and third overall.
Archbishop Curley and St. Mary's had a spirited battle for second place, with Friars edging the Saints, 279-273. Gunston School, appearing in its first ever conference championship, placed fourth with 191 points and Key School was fifth with 175 points.
Severn won six individual events and also piled up three second place finishes, three third place efforts and two fourth place performances.
Court Barrett was the standout swimmer of the event, winning two individual events ? the 200 Free (1:46.61) and 100 Backstroke (52.86) ? and he swam on two winning relays, the 200 Medley Relay (1:43.69) and 200 Free Relay (1:32.76).
Harlan Erskine, who was also on both relay teams, won the 100 Free for the Admirals with a time of 50.10. Rhett Walker was also on the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relay teams. Nate Nichalski anchored the 200 Medley Relay, while Callum Olenc was the fourth swimmer on the 200 Free Relay.
Olenec also swam on Severn's winning 400 Free Relay (3:42.97). He was joined by Gavin Monaldo, Nate Michalski and Cooper Hamilton
Curley collected two individual event titles, both by Jason Kellerman. Kellerman won the 200 IM (1:57.56) and the 500 Free (4:44.16).
Also winning two events was Beth Tfiloh's Sammy Rotman, who was victorious in the 50 Free (22.37) and 100 Butterfly (57.16). The evening's other individual event title went to John Carroll's Gabe Olszyk, who won the the 100 Breaststroke (1:00.35).
