Calvert Hall wins its second straight Indoor Track championship
Cardinals top regular season champion Mount St. Joseph in championship meet
For the second straight year and the fifth time since 2019, Calvert Hall was the winner of the MIAA Indoor Track Championships, topping 2024-25 regular season champion Mount St. Joseph, 158-139, on Friday, to win the championship meet at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex. Gilman was a distant third with 60 points, while McDonogh (44 points) edged Loyola Blakefield (44) for fourth place.
Gabe Levrone won two individual gold medals for the Cardinals, capturing the 55 meters (6.47) and 300 meters (35.32). Cameron Hayes won the 55 meter hurdles (7.89) for the Cardinals and joined Levrone, Braxton Jones and Max Miller in winning the 4x400 Relay (3:28.73).
Jared Okechukwu led the way for Mount St. Joseph, winning the Triple Jump (44-07.00) and sharing the High Jump crown with teammate Bryan Iwoohas, both clearing 6-00.00. In addition, Cordae Bethel, Ja'Den Glispy, Asaiah Anderson and Bryan Stewart won the 4x200 Relay for the Gaels in a time of 1:32.81, while Braeden Dushkin won the Shot Put (51-09.50).
St. Vincent Pallotti's Caleb Tenney, the MIAA cross country individual champion, won three events – the 800 meters (1:58.15), 1600 metersd (4:17.63) and 3200 meters (9:56.30).
Loyola Blakefield brought home two individual gold medals with Will Coyne winning the Pole Vault (14-01.00) and Daniel McCormick capturing the Long Jump (22-04.50). Other event champions included Archbishop Spalding's Garrett Brennan, in the 500 meters (1:06.02), and St. Paul's 4x800 Relay team (8:26.03) of Thomas Millis, Souji Godson-Miyake, Ezra Riojas and Avery Shao.
