Mount St. Joe leads MIAA cross country squads in the 41st Barnhart Invitational
Gaels place sixth in 28-team field; St. Paul’s Thomas Millis leads MIAA individual runners
The 41st annual Richard Barnhart Cross Country Invitational took place on Saturday, September 14 at the Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park in Hunt Valley and Mount St. Joseph led a contingent of six MIAA teams with a sixth place finish.
The Gaels finished 166 points, which was 66 more than team champion Winston Churchill, and Luca Linesmeyer led the Gaels by running 16th overall in a time of 17:26.26.
Thomas Millis of St. Paul’s was the top MIAA runner, as he finished 15th in a time of 17:24.23. The Crusaders finished in 19th place. Other MIAA teams in the race were Loyola Blakefield (15th, 402), Annapolis Area Christian (20th, 546), Friends (24th, 654) and McDonogh (25th, 685).

St. Joe has yet to open it MIAA A Conference dual meet schedule, which got underway last week. McDonogh and St. Paul’s are off to 2-0 starts, while Archbishop Curley and Loyola are each 1-1 and Archbishop Spalding and Gilman are both 0-2. Calvert Hall, like St. Joe, has yet to run a league race.
